WHO'S NEXT.

The Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode (MMMM) reveals and unites since 1988 new creative talents in the Mediterranean. It supports through two competitions: Major M (for the creators of Marseille and its region) and the Mediterranean Fashion Prize (MFP) for Mediterranean creators. This edition, Who’s Next’s theme is the Mediterranean and we offer MMMM the lighting of 9 of the winners in a space dedicated to them in the heart of Hall 2.3 of the Porte de Versailles. Gunseli Turkay showed Happy Vegan collection at Who's Next, Paris in July 2016 together with the winners of MMMM 2016.

 

Mediterranean Fashion Prize (MFP) 2016

Since 2010, Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode (MMMM) has revealed 44
young fashion & accessories designers as part of the Mediterranean Fashion Prize (MFP), 
a competition opened to 19 countries. 

Gunseli Turkay was selected for 2016, amongst the ten talented fashion designers for
Mediterranean Fashion Prize. 

'Emptyness Is An Illusion' Presentation at Galerist

'Emptiness Is An Illusion' collection of Günseli Türkay was presented at Galerist which is one of the most important contemporary art gallery of Istanbul. The project was created and organised by Gulriz Egilmez. 

 

 

C&A Reimagine Design Challenge

Gunseli Turkay was selected for The ‘Reimagine’ Design Challenge together with  8 avant-garde European designers to transform plastic tableware from the C&A Spring ’13 shop windows into fashion pieces, thus turning something ordinary into the extraordinary. Günseli Türkay was the fashion ambassador from Istanbul.

Concept formation and development, all copy, designer search and selection, creating hand-crafted briefing boxes and press kits, managing and writing daily posts on social media channels were part of my tasks throughout the entirety.

'Reimagine' came to life through a Facebook app, which linked to C&A's local pages. The daily posts were translated into 11 languages. Stores around Europe featured the campaign in their shop windows. Thousands of people logged on to follow daily updates and watch as the designers experimented with materials and worked towards creating covetable garments.

Mercedes Benz Berlin Fashion Week 2012

Gunseli Turkay presented the collection ‘Animism ’ at Mercedes Benz Berlin Fashion Week in July 2012 and joint booth at Premium Berlin. The Opening party was held at Voo Store Berlin.The project was organised by the creator of Istanbul Next, Gulriz Egilmez.

Young Creative Entrepreneur Award 2010_British Council YCE


Günseli Türkay was one of the finalists of the British Council’s YCE Fashion Award 2010. The Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) programme identifies and connects a global group of emerging creative pioneers, founders and innovators, who are making an impact through NEW IDEAS and NEW BUSINESS MODELS and inspiring others around them through their work.
Since 2004, the British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) programme has connected nearly 500 inspirational business founders from 54 countries with international opportunities.
